Seeking God and Creating Space

Jesus our Redeemer, we come to You today with thanks and praise. Thank You for the wisdom and power You have bestowed upon us, for making known to us what we requested of You. (Daniel 2:23) As we finish the second week of our fast we thank You for all that You have done in our lives already.

Jesus our Rock, as we fast and pray today please help us to create space for You. Help us to create an openness within our hearts and minds that the Holy Spirit can fill, and that our Father can move in. As we create this space Jesus, please help us to grow deeper in our understanding, love and relationship with the Holy Spirit. Please help us to know Him intimately as our Helper, Comforter, and Spirit of Truth. Please increase our awareness of His presence as He abides with us and lives in us.

Jesus, Guardian of our souls, just as we were once sheep going astray, but have returned to You, please call all of Your children who once knew You but have gone astray. (1 Peter 2:25) We offer up specifically __________________, our precious loved one whom we are heartsick over. Please bring them back into relationship with You so that they can be restored and we can rejoice. Jesus, You told us that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to His children who ask Him. (Luke 11:13) We are asking Jesus, for a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit, restoring those who once knew You but have wandered away. We ask all of these things Jesus in Your Holy name. Amen.
